Not much happens in Theodosia Stapleton's tiny Northumberland village. Certainly not to her. She has resigned herself to spinsterhood, caring for her ailing mother in the home of her grandfather, known to the locals as "General Contrary." I really enjoy Regency Era books and Carolyn Miller is one of my favorite Regency Authors. Her newest book, Dawn's Untrodden Green is Book 3 in the Regency Wallflower series. I had the honor of reading the first 2 books in this series and have been anxiously awaiting Book 3.

Theodosia Stapleton feels her life in her small town is boring. She figures she will be her mother's caregiver in her Grandfather's home. The locals know the home as the "General Contrary." Theodosia's friend dies leaving behind a daughter. Theodosia takes the girl under her care. The girl's Famous Uncle unexpectedly arrives to take his niece back to London with him. The arrival of the Uncle throws Theodosia off course with her plans. The Uncle, Daniel Balfour, has been fighting in the Penisula War and the King has noticed his bravery and acknowledged him.  Theodosia tells Uncle Daniel that his niece, Rebecca, is safe and in good hands. Daniel is reassured that he can return to London on his own and Theodosia will take care of his niece. He is not sure how fast he wants to return to London as he is growing attracted to Theodosia. He tells himself that a relationship nor marriage is feasible as he continues to serve in the Army. Will Daniel listen to his heart and attraction to Theodosia and stay for a while? Will there be a romance between Theodosia and Daniel? 

 WOW, this book was hard to put down once I started. Ohhh, I didn't put it down until I was finished. Theodosia is a very caring person who puts others before herself. Daniel is a TRUE HERO and is humble about his serving in the Army. I LOVE that they both have the best interest of Rebecca as first and foremost. The Romance was slow going, but I think that was a great thing. I truly enjoyed this book! The book is about God's plans are always GREATER than our own plans for our lives. I also appreciate the Biblical truth within the book. Sweet Regency Romance book! I am very excited and looking forward to more books in this series! GREAT BOOK!
