Clean Romance books are a great genre and the Harlequin Heartwarming line is a wonderful series. His Ranch Redemption by Laurie Winter is the most recent book that I have read in this genre. The book is the beginning of Fern Hollow series.

WOW, what a sweet and soft beginning to the storyline and book. The setting is at a Horse Ranch and Apple Orchard in Fern Hollow. The main characters are Sarah Carmella and Pete O’Keefe. Sarah and Pete had a Teenage marriage that was annulled and haven't seen each other in many years. Sarah has held resentment toward Pete over the years and always mourned the miscarriage of their baby. Pete went off to serve in the Army and Sarah married and had a daughter with her husband. Her husband was tragically killed, leaving her a widow. Pete comes home to Fern Hollow for a wedding of a mutual friend of Pete and Sarah, which Sarah wasn't sure she wanted to see Pete. Sarah is very happy running the Horse Ranch owned by her Grandparents and raising her daughter on the Ranch, life is good as it is right now. Pete is in town not just for the wedding, but he would also like to make amends with Sarah and ask for her forgiveness for the way the relationship ended in the past. I cried happy tears reading this book and watching Sarah's heart soften as Pete tries to win her heart again. Sarah is also "on guard" as Pete is supposed to leave in a week for a life in Phoenix. I really loved how Pete was being so "fatherly" to Sarah's daughter. Sarah is now filled with hope that Pete will decide to stay in Fern Hollow as she is feeling all the LOVE for Pete come back. The book is a sweet Second Chance Romance story. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Clean Romance. GREAT BOOK!
