I really enjoy Romantic Fiction books, add in some Comedy and it is a must-read for me. The Neighbor Renovation by Grace Worthington is the latest book in this genre that I have read. It is Book 1 in the new series, The Renovation Romance Sweet RomCom. 

Grant was looking forward to a quiet Summer renovating his Family's Vacation Home. Well, his plans were thwarted when Ella comes to spend time at her family's beach house, which is next door to Grant. Grant and Ella's families have owned the Beach Houses for many years and there has been a "FEUD" between the 2 families for many years. Ella is an Interior Designer and she is extremely excited when she finds out Grant is renovating his family vacation home. She offers her help and being that Grant doesn't like the design part of a renovation, he agrees to let her help. The 2 begin spending more and more time together and Grant finds himself getting very attracted to Ella. Grant doesn't think he should validate his feelings for her because she has sworn off relationships. Also, due to the long-standing family feud, it isn't wise to be in a relationship with her, he believes. Will Ella and Grant succeed at the Renovation and be able to work together? Will there be a Romance between Ella and Grant despite the obstacles that say NO? 

WOW, this is such a FUN and adventurous book! Grant is a "grumpy" person and Ella is such a fun and sweet girl. I LOVE the storyline of the Family Feud and how they should be "Enemies" yet they are working together on a "Fixer Upper". Ella really makes this book so funny and had me laughing and crying at the same time. Grant begins to come out of his "Grumpiness" when his feelings for Ella begin to become real. This book is about Family, Death, Moving On, and much more. I HIGHLY Recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Fun loving books with a wonderful storyline. GREAT BOOK!

I love home renovation shows, because they make it look so easy to magically turn your home into something amazing in only a half-hour. (If only that worked in real life.)

 

But what if two people who were enemies worked on renovating a home together? Would they survive the renovation? Could it even bring them together?

 

I love all the tropes, but enemies to lovers is one of the most satisfying for me, especially in romantic comedy. The huge payoff is seeing two very opposite people come together quite magically. In the end, I’m always rooting for the couple who overcomes the odds.

 

It’s also been my experience that no matter how much you prepare for a home project, it never goes according to plan. This sets the stage for lots of hilarious scenarios as things go wrong and the couple learns to navigate these unexpected detours together.

 

But in The Neighbor Renovation, it’s not just about the physical home. There is a deeper metaphor of what happens in their lives as they learn to overcome past wounds and take a chance on love. Just like the home renovation shows, the renovation that happens in their hearts is almost miraculous.

 

So if you like HGTV, sweet romantic comedies,  grumpy sunshine couples, and second chance love stories, then you’re going to enjoy The Neighbor Renovation: A sweet romantic comedy.
