The one thing I have always encouraged for my Boys to is Bible Reading Time. We bought them the Baby's First Bible when they were really young and read that to them. Once they started reading more on their own, we found them a Bible that was Age and Reading Level appropriate. I made Devotional time a part of their Homeschool Schedule and they loved having their own Bibles to do Devotional time with. My boys are now Young Adults and still enjoy reading the Bible.
I truly would have purchased this Bible for my Boys had it been around in this Style and Format when they were little. The wording and descriptions are in an easy-to-read and understandable format. I really like the Illustrations throughout as they are illustrated in pictures that Kids like and understand. The Illustrations are also very colorful. The Font is clear and in a good size print for the children to see. The NIRV Illustrated Kids Bible has a GREAT Layout, Format, and Illustrations.
I HIGHLY Recommend this Bible for Beginning Readers and Young Kids. I think this Bible is one that will be easy for Young Kids to enjoy and encourage them in their Bible Reading Time!
