I really enjoy Historical Fiction and the Regency era. A Thieving at Carlton House by Erica Vetsch is the latest in this genre that I have read. It is Book 1 in the Of Cloaks & Daggers series. I LOVE reading series and I am looking forward to this one.
WOW, this book caught my interest from the first chapter. The 2 main characters of this book are Philippa and Bertie. Philippa has many life struggles and now is giving back by running a school for women who need help and direction for their lives. Bertie has been assigned to head an investigation as to who stole jewels from and it is suggested that Philippa join the team. Phillippa is not to keen on being a part of a Cloak and Dagger team, she is comfortable with running her Organization and helping the woman who really need the assistance. The Mystery of the Missiing Jewels and Bertie's investigation had me truly intrigued. I did not notice any romance between Philippa and Bertie, but the series is just beginning. I really LOVE the focus on forgiveness and trust in God in this book. The book is filled with Mystery, Suspense and Faith. Many twists and turns really keep the reader intrigued. I HIGHLY Recommend this to anyone who likes Historical Christian Fiction and Mystery. FANTASTIC BOOK!
