“You sure?” he whispered.

She didn’t reply, simply closing the gap between them and closing her eyes as his lips touched hers. Oh, what soul-soaring magic lay in his lips. She relaxed, her mouth clinging to his, molding against his, greedy for more. He gave a low-throated sigh, and pressed in hungrily, his lips warm, firm, as heated thrills raced up and down her body, and tugged low in her stomach. His arm slipped down to her waist, and he pulled her flush against his body, and she reveled in the feel of his strength, his muscles, his intensity. He kissed her, and she was sure their lips imparted eternal vows of devotion in shared breath.

Time stilled, then expanded, so their kiss might’ve lasted five seconds, a minute, an hour, she didn’t know or care. Then she drew back, unsteady, mind spinning, lips swollen, hair a mess. She blinked, and the world drew into focus again.

He leaned his forehead against hers, as she caught her breath. “That was…” He closed his eyes.
