Amish Fiction is my FAVORITE Genre of books to read. The Amish Twins Next Door  by Vannetta Chapman is the ninth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series. I have not read the entire series, but I have read quite a few from this series. The books are GREAT as Stand Alone books.

Deborah Mast is an Amish Single Mom of Twin Boys. She became a Teen Mom when she left the Amish Community and had a relationship with a Englischer. He no longer wanted anything to do with her once she became pregnant. He willingly gave up any rights to the twins and Deborah moved back home. She and her Twins live with her parents, who joyously welcomed her home. The Church and Community also joyously welcomed her back. Nicholas Stoltzfus has recently moved back to town and purchased the Farm next door to Deborah's parents. He is coming out of a bad relationship and has every intention of not being in a relationship anytime soon, if ever. The Twins begin sneaking over to Nick's Farm, which at first Nick is not happy about. Nick, Deborah and her Dad work out a deal that the boys can come over and help with the Goats that Nick and Deborah's Dad Co-Own and Nick will guide the boys and be a mentor to them. Deborah's parents are anxious for her to find someone to marry and someone that would be a great father to the boys. Deborah and Nick decide to "Pretend Date" as a way to keep "Matchmakers" from encouraging a relationship. The more they "date" the more they discover that they are actually enjoying themselves together. Will Nick and Deborah be able to open their hearts to LOVE again? Will Nick, Deborah and the boys become a Family?

I have been a fan of Vannetta's Books for a LONG time and this book was a joyous to read as her other books. I really like that it isn't a typical Amish Romance, where the characters have known each other for a long time and fall in love and marry. The Characters did grow up in the same town, but did not know each other until living next door to each other. Deborah is a strong woman who just wants best for her Twin Boys and is doing all she can to give them a good life. Nick is a WONDERFUL Man who although wants to be alone, he agrees to mentor the 7 yr old twin boys and ends up falling in love with their mom. Deborah and Nick have both been hurt in past relationships, but I LOVE how they cautiously begin a relationship and allow it to grow slowly. The Amish Twins Next Door is a sweet, unpredictable, Amish Fiction Romance with GREAT Characters and Storyline. I HIGHLY Recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Amish Romance. GREAT BOOK!

More from Vannetta

When I married my husband 22 years ago, he had a 21-year-old daughter and 16-year-old twins. I was a single mom with a 10-year-old son. I was also a certified, experienced teacher. I could handle it. (Cue laughter) I had no idea what twins was like. I didn’t understand that special language they have with one another. I was perplexed by the way they could be fighting one moment and adamantly defending one another the next. Everything about twins confused me.

Now our children are all grown. They’re adults, and I wonder how the years have passed so quickly. The Amish Twins Next Door is my first book featuring twins, and I enjoyed every minute of writing it. I enjoyed telling a story about a mom who wonders if she will ever have a conventional family—because I was that mom. I also had way too much fun writing about a man who thought he could give parenting advice when he had no children.

Ultimately though, like all of my other books, The Amish Twins Next Door is a book about the over-arching grace of God and how it can carry us through all things. My hope is that you will laugh, maybe cry, and come away from the book feeling uplifted.
