Christian Romantic Suspense is a genre that I have come to enjoy over the last few years.  Sanctuary and Sabotage by Lori DeJong is Book 2 in the Guarded Hearts series. I have been anxiously awaiting the release of this book, as I read Book 1 and enjoyed it. 

WOW, this storyline captured my attention from the beginning.  The setting is small town Bandry, TX. The 2 main characters in this book are Trevor Paxton and Kinsley Talbot. Trevor has just returned to his Family Ranch and is seeking some downtime. He is a Protection Specialist and has just been discouraged by a failed mission. Kinsley is a Veterinarian and has a clinic in the small town. Kinsley and Trevor have known each other since childhood and Trevor was Kinsley's "crush" in High School. Kinsley has been going through many issues lately and then her clinic is ransacked. I really LOVE how Trevor comes to Kinsley's rescue when the Clinic is threatened and her Family's Barn is set on fire, without her knowing he was doing so. Kinsley and Trevor both have secrets that they are keeping, yet a romance is sparked between the pair. I really LOVE that as the story progresses, Trevor is feeling healing and beginning to Trust God again. He had lost faith a bit when the missions failed. Kinsley is strong and independent. I truly enjoyed this book and could not stop reading until the story was done. The book is one of Romance, Suspense, Faith. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who enjoys Romance and Suspense. WONDERFUL BOOK!
