The truth could cost her everything…
even her life.

Eve Lantz’s life takes a deadly shift when her return home after her brother’s sudden death is met with gunfire from an unknown assailant. Still haunted by her father’s unsolved murder, Eve is determined to uncover the truth behind the tragedies surrounding her family. Joining forces with her childhood friend, Assistant Police Chief Casey Masterson, she plunges into a dangerous investigation. Casey vows to protect Eve and expose the secrets linking these crimes, but the deeper they go, the more perilous their search becomes. The shadowy perpetrator will stop at nothing to keep his dark secrets hidden—and Eve may be the next victim.

Amish Fiction is my favorite genre. Add in Romance and Suspense and it is a MUST read for me. Secrets in Amish Country by Mary Alford is the latest book in this genre that I have read. Mary Alford is my favorite author in the Amish Suspense books.

WOW, this book really is engaging from beginning to end. The main character is Eve Lantz and Assistant Police Chief Casey Masterson. Eve has come Home to attend to Family Matters with the death of her brother. Eve is still mourning the murder of her father from 12 years before and now her brother was murdered. Eve turns to Casey, who is a childhood friend, to help her try to solve the murders of her Father and Brother. Casey is very determined to protect Eve as he helps her investigate the murders. The Police are troubled by the murders and Eve and others are puzzled as to whom could be targeting her family and could she be the next Target. The book is filled with many twists and turns, very action packed and suspenseful. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Amish Suspense and Romance. GREAT BOOK!
