Christian Suspense Romance is a genre that really intrigues me. The Targeted by Cara Putman is Book 3 in the Secrets to Keep series.
WOW, the book starts out with a "hooked into the book" theme and it stayed that way throughout the book. The main characters are Chloe Ainsworth and Dare Shepherd, Chloe is Gymnastics Coach, as she has had a love for Gymnastics since she was a young girl. Dare Shepherd is a Law Student and a town local. Chloe is terrified for the Gymnastic Students when someone from her past is hired for a position at the Gym she works at. She will also go to great lengths to protect the young Gymnasts she coaches. She goes into protection mode because she doesn't want the young girls to become victims like she was a victim. Dare Shepherd, who works at the local legal clinic, sits down and listens to Chloe's story. Dare immediately knows that he must do whatever he can to protect the Students and Chloe, They run into a hurdle when the Legal Clinic Director doesn't want to take on the case. I really LOVE that Dare and Chloe decide they have no time to waste and they begin to try to resolve the case and most importantly protect the Student Gymnasts. The pair come across many obstacles, although they press on even harder. I enjoyed seeing Dare and Chloe get closer in friendship and romantically as they work on this case. The storyline reminds me of real life events that happened in the Gymnastics World. I am a fan of Gymnastics and I really appreciate that the author took the time to bring such an important topic to the readers in a fictional manner. I HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone who enjoys Christian Suspense Romance. WONDERFUL BOOK!
