Christian Romance Suspense is an intriguing genre. Burning Hearts by Lisa Phillips is a book that I recently read. It is Book 1 in the Chasing Fire: Alaska series.
WOW, the book started off with action and it never stopped. The setting is in Alaska and the 2 main characters are Jamie Winters and Logan Crawford. Jamie has come to Alaska to find her brother, Tristian. The action started when Jamie is kidnapped and is in danger. Logan Crawford has followed Jamie to Alaska because he still loves her and wants a relationship again. Logan is part of a Smokejumper team and he has the skills to help find Jamie and rescue her from the danger. I really LOVE Logan's determination to rescue Jamie and it really shows that his heart is yearning for her. The rescue does come with wounds for both of them, physically and relationship wise. I was so endured by how they relyed on their Faith to help them rekindle the relationship and to overcome the dangers that had persued them. The book is one of Faith, LOVE and Trusting God and others. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Romance and Suspense. GREAT BOOK!
