I really enjoy Historical Fiction and the Regency era. I was excited to hear that Author Erica Vetsch is back with a Regency novel, but it is also a Mystery novel. Children of the Shadows by Erica Vetsch is Book 3 in the Thorndike & Swann Regency Mysteries Series. I have read the first 2 books in this series and was excited that Book 3 is now out.

Detective Daniel Swann and debutante Juliette Thorndike are back to solve another mystery. Daniel is concerned about the Street Children of Regency London, they seem to be missing. He really wants to work on this case but he is unsure if he should due to recent news about his past and some current life changes. Daniel and his partner, Juliette, are on the case as Lady Juliette is very caring about the needs of children. They are both searching for the Children until Daniel decides he might need more help to catch the one who is preying on the children. His friends step in to help Daniel to find the children and also to help with his family issues. Will the Children be found safe? Will Daniel and Juliette finally reveal their relationship to their family? 


I truly enjoyed this book and I have to say that this is probably my favorite of the 3 that I have read. I really LOVE that Daniel and Julietter are really concerned about the Children and risk things for their safety.  I really enjoyed watching Daniel and Juliette's relationship really become stronger in Book 3. I also was happy to see that Juliette is ready to share with her parents that she is in love with Daniel. I was really encouraged that the book has a strong Christian Message and is very Faith-Based. I HIGHLY Recommend this to anyone who likes Historical Christian Fiction and Mystery. I am sad that this is the final book in the series! A GREAT SERIES and a GREAT BOOK!
