I truly enjoy the LOVE-Inspired Suspense series of books, Killer Christmas Evidence by Sami A. Abrams is the latest book I have read in the LOVE-Inspired Suspense series. This is Book 4 in the Deputies of Anderson County series. I have read this series from the beginning and I am always happy when the next book comes out! 

Cassidy King is on a Leave from her Detective Duties due to a raid gone wrong. She has memory loss at the moment due to being hit on the head during the raid. She believes that a Serial Killer is on the loose and she is the next target. Detective Kyle Howard has been assigned to keep Cassidy safe. He has anger and frustration towards Cassidy because his fiance, Amber, was killed in the raid and he blames Cassidy. Cassidy is also is trying to convince Kyle to investigate and help her catch the serial killer. Can Kyle overcome his frustration and help Cassidy? Can they repair their friendship? 

 Sami Abrams really has a PAGE TURNER book with this one! The storyline captured my attention from the very first chapter. I LOVE Cassidy's determination in trying to prove that there is a Serial Killer. She also misses her friend Amber a lot. Kyle Howard is a wonderful character. I love how he worked through his emotions toward Cassidy. Kyle and Cassidy worked through a lot to repair their friendship, even relying on God to help them. The twists and turns in this book really had me on the edge of my seat. I HIGHLY recommend this book and others in this series to anyone who enjoys Suspense and Romance. WONDERFUL BOOK!

While coming up with the idea for Kyle and Cassidy’s story, Killer Christmas Evidence, I loved the idea of a serial killer that no one knew about. Someone who killed in different places and in different ways to avoid detection. Kim Rossmo’s theory on Geographic Profiling was intriguing, and I wanted to implement that concept. But, as I started to write, I realized the idea was too big for a Love Inspired Suspense length book, so I had to adjust the story a bit to fit the situation. The basics are there, just not the details I had hoped for.

 

However, when I sat down to write and I got to know Kyle and Cassidy a little better, I realized the story wasn’t about the stealth serial killer, but about learning to let go of guilt and learning to forgive. How many times in our lives due to being hurt or the pain of loss do we assume we know the truth? Yet, if we listened—really listened—we discover not everything is what is appears to be. And the truth is not painful, but healing.
