Amish Fiction is my Ultimate Favorite Genre of books to read. I have read a couple books by Laurel Blount and was excited to hear about a new series of Amish Fiction by her. Shelter in the Storm is Book 1 in the Johns Mill Amish Romance. 

An Englischer enters the Hochstedler's General Store and begins shooting. Joseph Hochstedler,owner of the General Store, struggles greatly after the shooting with being supportive for his family with the death of a family member in the shooting. The family is trying to grieve in private, but the Media is making that impossible. Naomi Schrock is a lifelong friend of Joseph Hochstedler and she wants to help them through this family tragedy. Naomi has suffered from a heart issue since childhood, but has always wanted to be of service to others. Naomi and Joseph find themselves attracted to one another, Naomi even noticing she is "in love" with Joseph. Will Naomi being present, help Joseph and his family with their loss? Will Naomi and Joseph begin more then a friendship? 

A VERY sweet Romance story! I truly enjoyed this book. It was filled with Twists and Turns, just as I thought the story was going one way, it changed! I LOVE a book that is very unpredictable. I also enjoyed how Naomi and Joseph had a nurturing friendship that seemed to blossom as Naomi was being a helper to the family. A WONDERFUL Amish Fiction Book! A book that anyone will enjoy!
