Christian Women's Fiction is a wonderful genre. From This Day Forward by Deb L. Brown is Book 2 in the Dearly Beloved series. I have not read Book 1 yet, although this book reads great as a Standalone novel. 

WOW, this book really caught my attention from the very beginning and I was totally engrossed in reading to the end. Brenda is the main character of this book. Brenda is entering the "Empty Nest" stage of life and feels so alone. Brenda's children are grown and have spouses, she misses the daily interaction with her 3 children. Marcus, her husband, seems to be distant and they are more "roommates" than husband and wife. Brenda is trying to rediscover herself and figure out what life looks like ahead. Brenda finds comfort in volunteering and giving back to others. In the midst of rediscovering herself, Brenda's mother becomes ill and Brenda has to redirect herself to be a caregiver to her Mom. I really LOVE that the author has included Scripture verses that encourage the reader on how to handle similar situations that Women encounter in everyday living. The book is Fiction, yet is plays out in the lives of SOO Many Women and Households. I was EXTREMELY encouraged by this book. I have reached the point in my life, where my Boys are Young Adults and will leave the Nest soon. I have already went through the Parent Caregiver stage and many of the points that the author wrote about in parent caregiving are so true. The book is one that shows us that God will lead us through all the stages of life, including the stages where we begin to feel alone and we need to reexamine the path that God is leading us down at that moment. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who LOVES a GOOD Fiction book that touches on the real facts of life. GREAT BOOK!
