Christian Romantic Suspense is a genre that I really enjoy. Lipsticks and Gunpowder by Jane Daly is Book 1 in the Gold Country Series and I recently had the opportunity to read the book.

The storyline had me hooked from the very first pages. The main characters of the book are Dale Hardy and Mark Goodson. Dale has arrived at Double-Bar-G Ranch under the guise that she been hired as a ranch hand. Mark is not happy that a Female has been hired and he is questioning why her. Unbeknownst to Mark, Dale is an FBI agent who is undercover to investigate some happenings on the Ranch. Dale gets suspicious of Mark for a time, that all changes when Dale realizes that Mark and herself are being targeted and she goes into protection mode. I LOVE how Mark and Dale become a team when Mark's niece goes missing and is being held for ransom. The hunt for the niece really brings a lot of suspenseful moments through the story. The many twists and turns and excitement at the end kept me on the edge of my seat. I also love that the story has faith elements. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Romance Suspense. GREAT BOOK!
