Romantic Suspense novels were not a genre that I wasn't interested in for a long while. I discovered Sara Davison series about 4 years ago and I have been hooked on this genre ever since. The Darkness Deepens is Book 2 of the The Day Draws Near series. I read Book 1 in this series and have been anxiously awaiting this book! 

 I LOVE that the story is set in Canada in 2054 and we have the main characters from Book 1, Meryn and Jesse, in this story also. Jesse and Meryn have a growing relationship, but have to meet in secret and keep their relationship "hush hush". Jesse is a solider and he knows that Lieutenant Gallagher does not like Christians, so he hides the fact that he has become a Christian.  Meryn really wants an even deeper relationship with Jesse, but her past isn't something she is proud of. Can Jesse stay safe from Gallagher and his hate towards Christian? Can Meryn and Jesse reveal things that might hurt their relationship or make it stronger? 

I can honestly say that this series is intriguing my interest in Dystopian genre, a genre that I haven't really every had an interest in. The book starts out strong and the action and suspense make the book a PAGE TURNER.  The book is one of Suspense, Danger, Romance, and Faith. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Suspense with Romance. AMAZING BOOK!
