High school football coach Joe Kennedy had no other choice but to fight. A childhood in foster care followed by 20 years in the Marine Corps was nothing compared to his biggest battle: his commitment to stand for God publicly by taking a knee in prayer after each game. When he was fired, Joe and his wife Denise knew this battle for religious freedom, freedom of speech, and the rights of all Americans was one they would have to fight—no matter the cost. From the director and producers of God’s Not Dead and the producers of The Blind comes AVERAGE JOE, in theaters beginning October 11.
Stand for freedom by watching Average Joe, in theaters October 11!
I am a HUGE Fan of movies based on True Stories. I have also followed Coach Joe Kennedy's story for a few years. I was truly appalled when I heard on the news that he was fired for praying with the Team on the Field after games. I was excited to learn that a Movie about this story was coming to theatres.
The Movie was absolutely AMAZING to watch. Seeing the story flow all at once instead of snippets from News stories, really helped pull this story together. Joe Kennedy and his wife, Denise, knew they had a battle and were willing to take it as HIGH as needed. Freedom of Religion is such an important RIGHT as Americans and I am so glad Joe Kennedy was willing to fight for his FREEDOM, but having it heard by the US Supreme Court, meant he was also fighting for all Americans. I was so glad they stood up and trusted God to carry them through! I had tears of happiness while watching this movie!
The key message is that God will sustain us and we need to STAND UP for our Faith and Freedoms!
I HIGHLY recommend this movie as a Date Night event, watching together as a Group, even for Youth Groups to watch and discuss. GREAT MOVIE!
Many thanks to Average Joe for providing a sample of the product for this review.
Opinions are 100% my own.
