A few months ago I really started getting interested in Biblical Fiction. I didn't find it too interesting before then.  Return of the Son by D.M. Griffin is the latest book in this genre that I have read. It is Book 4 in the Encounter Series. It is the last book in the series, but they are all Stand Alone books as well. 

WOW, this 4th book is the most interesting in this series. I had previously read others in this series and they were slow reading for me. The Return of the Son grabbed me from the first few pages and kept my interest throughout the book. Eve is the main character of the book and she felt she had a great childhood being raised solely by her Dad. He is now an advisor to King Herod, and Eve does not like King Herod. She feels her life isn't going as she had planned. Her Dad secures her a betrohal, to someone who is related to King Herod. Eve is not to happy to be in an arranged marriage to someone whom she feels she will despise for life. Eve meets with her potential future husband and does things that might help her win freedom from this arranged marriage. She soon realizes that the potential husband isn't as bad as she thought he would be. I LOVED this book from the beginning. I really feel the Biblical message in this book is "To Trust God with all your heart" and that God's plan is greater then our plans. Eve realized this in time to save the potential marriage and enjoy life as God had planned for her. I   HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Biblical Fiction. WONDERFUL  BOOK!
