Childrens Illustrated books with a Faith Message are a wonderful genre. Harriet Hurry-Up and the Oh-So-Slow-Day by Allia Zobel Nolan is the latest in this genre that I have had the pleasure of reading. 

WOW, the synopsis alone speaks volumes and is what helped make this book an easy choice to read. I was like "the author knows me well" and Harriett sounds like me. Harriett is a young girl who doesn't like to wait, she lacks patience. She wants to be constantly going and moving. Her grandmother notices this "Hurry Up" movement about her and gives her a lesson about patience. Granny teaches Harriett that if we slow down a bit and have patience, God will show us blessings throughout the day. I really LOVE that Harriett takes the advice of Granny and starts to gain patience with waiting and enjoying the daily blessings. The book is BEAUTIFULLY illustrated and the young ones will enjoy the big bright pictures of the story. I think this book not only teaches the young ones, but the message is a good for adults also. I know as I read it to the little ones, I caught on to the message. I HIGHLY recommend this for a wonderful encouraging book for young readers. GREAT BOOK!
