Set in the peak of the 1960s Civil Rights movement, “Paul's Promise” is the inspiring true story of Paul Holderfield, former racist firefighter-turned-pastor who started one of the first integrated churches in the American South. It’s one man’s journey to hope and healing during a troubled time in our Nation’s history
that resulted in one man’s decision to serve God and stand up to injustice - a story that continues to make a huge impact on the community to this day.
I am a HUGE fan of True Story Movies and that is the first thing that had me interested in this movie. I also appreciate the fact that this movie is based on the Civil Rights Movement. I really enjoyed this movie and watched it with my teenage boys. Paul Holderfield made some major life changes during a time when it seemed impossible due to Racial Tensions and Paul himself being a Racist. The fact that his mother saw that Paul was a racist and prayed for him to change his ways and he did was a "tear-jerker" part of the movie. I think this movie is important even 60yrs later, as Racial Tensions continue in our country. I LOVE that the Movie is Faith-Based and Family Friendly. I HIGHLY encourage Families to go see this Movie. Make sure you bring some Tissue as it can get emotional at times. GREAT MOVIE!

My family enjoys family movie nights when we can, life tends to get in the way, if we plan it, so we try to wing it and have at least two movie nights a month and Paul's Promise sounds like a great movie to watch!
Thanks for sharing it with me and have an awesome weekend!
