I will admit the reason I was interested in reading this book is because the Book cover is absolutely beautiful. The cover in itself creates a story. Worthy of Redemption by Krystina Renae Rankin is book 1 in the White Lake Romance series.
Ashlynn Wilson moved away from her Hometown of White Lake, Texas right after graduation 10yrs ago. She recently moved back as her Dad is going to through Cancer Treatments. She is flooded with memories of her best friend Victoria, who died 10yrs ago on Graduation Night. Ashlyn escorts her Dad to the Dr. and discovers the Dr. is Dr. Heath Lancaster, the former boyfriend of her friend Victoria. Ashlyn blames Heath for her friends death. The one thing that Ashlyn is noticing is that Heath seems to be more caring and has grown in faith since his days of teenage mistakes. Heath Lancaster loves his job as a Dr., but he still has Victoria on his mind all the time. He wants to keep contact with Ashlyn at a minimal, although that doesn't last very long. Heath and Ashlyn begin spending quite a bit time together when she a situation arises and Ashlyn takes on. The pair realize that they actually have feelings for one another. Will they be able to leave the past in the past and look to the future?
I truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end! I really thought that is was going to be a "predictable love story", but it was far from that. I really like how Heath and Ashlyn were able to communicate to one another and there was forgiveness and love. Ashlyn could have harbored her resentment toward Heath, but instead she saw his sincere Faith and hard work. Heath is such a strong character and I REALLY like his character in this book. I am very excited for new releases in this series, I want to read them all! FANTASTIC BOOK!
