A Christmas themed book is always a good read. First Kiss at Christmas: A Novel by Lee Tobin McClain is Book 5 in The Off Season series. I have not read any of the other books in this series, but they all look as interesting as this one.

Kayla Harris is a 25yr old Early Childhood Teacher. She made herself a resolution at the beginning of the year: To be Kissed for the first time in her life by the end of the year. Tony DiNunzio has taken his nephew, Jax, in to raise him after the Tragic murder of his Sister, the mother to his nephew. Tony and his nephew move away from the town where the tragedy happened and head to Pleasant Shores for a 3 month stay at Victory Cottage. They arrive for the "first day" of Preschool and Kayla Harris is the teacher. Tony becomes an active Volunteer in his Nephew's classroom. Kayla finds herself smitten by Tony and Jax's story really touches Kayla's heart. Both Kayla and Tony has "baggage" that is holding them back from relationships. Will Kayla get her First Kiss before Christmas? Can Tony and Kayla become a FOREVER couple?

WOW, what a wonderful and heartwarming Christmas Romance! The reader is drawn into the story from the very first chapter. I really like the idea behind Victory Cottage. Victory Cottage is a place where one can stay for a time to get some help and a break from the things that are troubling them. The book is set in Pleasant Shores, which is a small town. I really felt the Small Town warmth and community throughout the book. Kayla is a sweet young woman with a "Small" goal. Tony is a very caring person and one who wants the best for his nephew. The characters have all been through a lot, but together, they are strong and loving! I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a Christmas Romance theme! GREAT BOOK!
