Celebrate Lit Blog Tour: Unison Parenting: The Comprehensive Guide to Navigating Christian Parenthood with One Voice by Cecil Taylor

Book: Unison Parenting: The Comprehensive Guide to Navigating Christian Parenthood with One Voice

Author: Cecil Taylor

Genre: Parenting/Family, more specifically Christian Parenting

Release date: September 17, 2024

Singing in unison is when all voices sing the same note, at the same time, to emphasize the text. Similarly, families need to parent in unison to emphasize the message they want to send to their children.

Cecil Taylor uses his personal parenting experience, and those of the families he’s taught and ministered to over decades, to create unique foundational strategies for unison parenting within a Christian context. Learn how to stay on the same page throughout the trials of parenting, provide children with a solid faith foundation, and balance loving nature with firm boundaries to create a warm, stable environment where the child and parent can eventually collaborate to bring the child to full, responsible adulthood.

Whether in a traditional or nontraditional family structure, Unison Parenting leads parents through the ages and stages of childhood into mature adulthood. Additionally, Cecil lays out parenting fundamentals to manage your child’s growing need for independence during their teen years, while gradually building trust through incremental decision-making.

Christian Living Non-Fiction books are a great genre. I really LOVE learning from these types of books. Unison Parenting: The Comprehensive Guide to Navigating Christian Parenthood with One Voice by Cecil Taylor is the latest in this genre that I have recently read.

Parenting is not an easy "job" and we could all use the guidance and help from others. I really LOVE the concept of this book and that parents should work together not against one another when raising children. Children see what their parents do and say throughout their growing years. It is important for Children to see a united front. Raising Children in Christian Households with parents who are guiding their children in the faith is important for families. The author, Cecil Taylor has written a very imformative book that guides parents in these aspects of parenting. I really like the information and guidance in this book. I HIGHLY recommend this book for parents and families. GREAT BOOK!

With more than 30 years’ experience as an adult Sunday School teacher and as many in youth ministry, Cecil Taylor has impacted lives in local churches throughout his adult life. He founded Cecil Taylor Ministries to broaden that impact, teaching Christians to live a 7-day practical faith through books, video studies, and speaking engagements. His ministry is cross-denominational, focused on the common struggle Christians face in putting their faith into practice and applying scripture and faith principles to life situations.

Cecil has written three previous books, all of which have been awarded across international, national, and regional contests. For each book, Cecil has created a study guide, a video study, and downloadable free leader guides.

More from Cecil

Would you like to know the surefire, guaranteed way to get your teen to open up and talk to you? You’ll find it in my new book, Unison Parenting: The Comprehensive Guide to Navigating Christian Parenthood with One Voice.

Unison Parenting is the culmination of my fifteen years leading parenting classes in my church, my thirty years of youth ministry, and my raising of three children (one adopted) to adulthood. I taught and tested the parenting advice with seven hundred families that attended my classes, so I am convinced the structure and tips you’ll find in the book are well-proven.

One of those tips is how to get your teen to talk to you. I have never had anyone return to me to say that the technique doesn’t work; in fact, they laughingly complain that the technique works too well, and they can’t get their teen to stop talking!

An overarching theme of the book is, of course, getting and staying in unison as parents, but not only as parents – as a family. Another way to put it is a spirit of collaboration. You begin building this collaboration when the children are young, and as they grow, you expand the collaboration to partner with them on the common goal of helping them become mature adults who make good decisions.

I can tell you from experience that the collaborating spirit of such a family continues into adulthood, fostering solid on-going relationships and a desire for family community, even across distance.

This is not to say that my wife and I were perfect, nor that our children were perfect. We all made regrettable mistakes along the way. Our learnings, plus the positive and negative experiences of families I encountered over decades, will help you avoid pitfalls as you create a unison atmosphere among parenting partners and with your children.

This time, she’ll find the killer and bring him to justice no matter what it takes. She and her Phoenix K-9 Security and Detection Agency join the search for the hostages, but they aren’t the only ones who want the criminal captured.

Callum Ross, an FBI agent who specializes in catching serial criminals, is about to resign. But not until he finds one last culprit, the killer behind a famous twenty-year-old crime Callum vowed to solve.

Despite the FBI agent’s uncanny understanding of her psyche, Phoenix refuses to be distracted from her goal. When the serial killer turns into the cat instead of the mouse, Phoenix thinks she’s ready. But will she need the God she rejected to achieve the justice she’s given her life to obtain?

I have really come to enjoy Christian Romance Suspense genre. Terminal Danger by Jersuha Agen is Book 5 in the Guardians Unleashed Series.

WOW, just WOW! I can honestly say this book has adventure and intrigue from the very first page, I could not put this book down. Phoenix Gray and Callum Ross are the 2 main characters of this book. Phoenix has been mentioned in previous books, but this book is her story. Phoenix has been on the hunt for a serial killer for many years as part of her K-9 Security and Detection agency. She joins FBI agent Callum Ross in the search for a busload of children who might have been taken hostage. Callum and Phoenix work this case and life together very well. God and Faith become a part of the story, as Phoenix has rejected the faith for many years! Phoenix realizes that she needs God to help her solve this mystery and capture the serial killer. The book has Danger, Suspense and some Romance. There are many twists and turns in this book and it keeps the reader intrigued. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Suspense with Romance. I am VERY sad this is the final book in this series, as I have truly enjoyed the entire series! OUTSTANDING BOOK!

The inspiring true story of 12-year-old Donn Fendler who, separated from his family by a fast-moving storm, must fight to stay alive while lost for nine-days in the remote wilderness of northern Maine. Donn’s disappearance captures national headlines and sparks a massive search effort attracting hundreds of volunteers, including his own father who fears he may never see his son again.

Watch this moving family film in theaters starting November 1st!

I truly LOVE Movies and Books based on a True Story. I was very excited to watch and review Lost on a Mountain in Maine. The Movie is Produced by Sylvester Stallone and is based on the Book of the same name written by Donn Fendler.

WOW, this movie is very intriguing. Donn Fendler went missing on Mt. Katahdin in 1939. He was on a trip with his Boy Scout Troop and Storms came racing through, but he was determined to get to the top of the Mountain. A guide told him that they needed to turn back, but 12yr old Donn decided to go ahead by himself. He fell and and then couldn't get back on the trail to get to safety. The search party searched for 9 days before finally finding him.

I really LOVE the movie and how the Dad was determined to not give up but was also fearful that Donn wouldn't be found alive. The actual footage of Donn being found was a remarkable moment and bought happy tears to my eyes. I HIGHLY recommend this movie and I believe it is Family Friendly! GREAT MOVIE!

Buy tickets today to see Lost on a Mountain in Maine in theaters starting November 1st!

JustRead Tours Blog Tour: Fiancé Finale by Angela Ruth Strong

Fiancé Finale JustRead Takeover + Review Blitz

Welcome to the Takeover + Review Blitz for Fiancé Finale by Angela Ruth Strong hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours!

Fiancé Finale Title: Fiancé Finale
Series: Love Off Script #3
Author: Angela Ruth Strong
Publisher: Kregel Publications
Release Date: October 22, 2024
Genre: Contemporary Christian Romance

Charlie Newberg is sure about one thing: Nicole Lemaire is the woman God wants him to marry. There's a slight problem, though—he's already left her once. The day before their wedding. To make a documentary.

But he's got a plan. The marketing firm she works for is the ideal choice for promoting his new film. Collaborating will give him the perfect chance to propose again, so he conspires with her boss to make sure she runs the campaign for the same kind of documentary Charlie left her—basically at the altar—for.

Despite Nicole's resistance, the two work well together. But Charlie's going to need more than teamwork to convince the jilted bride to give him a second chance. In fact, he might need to fall in love in a way he's never really understood.

I really enjoy Christian Romance books. Fiancé Finale  by Angela Ruth Strong is the latest book that I have read in this genre that I have read. It is Book 3 in the Love Off Script series. I have been enjoying this series since Book 1 and was excited to read the 3rd book in the series.

The 2 main characters are Charlie Newberg and Nicole Lemaire. Charlie left Nicole at the Altar many years ago to go and pursue his dream of Film Making. He is back in town, many years later and needs her help. Nicole is a Marketing Firm agent and Charlie knows she would be PERFECT in helping promote his new film. Charlie knows Nicole is the woman he still wants to marry, but he doesn't know if Nicole feels the same for him, many years later. Nicole gets assigned to work with Charlie and she is a bit resistant to do so  Will Nicole and Charlie be able to work together on this Film Promotion? Will there be "Second Chance at Love"? .

I can honestly say that this storyline caught my attention from the very first pages. I LOVE Charlie's determination to "rekindle" the LOVE he abandoned. Nicole is still a bit bitter for being "left at the Altar", but throughout the story her heart is softened. The book has a STRONG Faith based message and I truly appreciate that. It is a Second Chance Romantic Comedy story. This is the final book in this series and I am sad to see the series end. I highly recommend this book for those who love Christian Romance with Humor and Fun! WONDERFUL BOOK!
