Christian Fiction if one of my favorite genres. Dana Mentink has become one of my favorite Christian Suspense authors. I am very excited that I recently read Tracking the Truth by Dana Mentink. It is Book 1 in the Security Hounds Investigation Series.

I can honestly say that there has not been ONE book by Dana Mentink that I did not like and this one did not disappoint! Roman Wolfe and his bloodhound rescue Emily Duncan from the Water. She was thrown into the water in an attempt to prevent her from revealing the truth about a murder confession her Dad made. Roman and Emery know they are not safe yet and are determined to figure out who doesn't want Emery to find out the truth behind her father's confession. I truly believe Roman is an AMAZING character as he does all he can to protect Emery and her nephew Ian from further harm. I also LOVED Wally, Roman's Bloodhound. Wally is an GREAT dog and his antics in the story had me laughing. Emery and Roman work together to figure out who is behind the attack to Emery and is trying to hurt her. The book has many twists and turns, and the story reads at a GREAT pace. I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys Suspense, Romance and Faith based books! AMAZING BOOK!

Bloodhounds everywhere! I was thrilled to be offered a contract to write a WHOLE SIX BOOK SERIES with these amazing creatures and their private eye humans! Bloodhounds have been described as “noses with dog’s attached.” Isn’t that quaint? I hope you will enjoy reading about Wally. He’s a young dog who did not receive the proper training and he’s a tad…well…naughty. Good thing he’s got a handler who’s equally as stubborn. The Setting is 1944 in Hartford, Connecticut. Evelyn Benson is a World War II widow who lost her husband in the Bataan Death March. She has stayed strong in her faith and has moved in with her Brother, his wife and children. Being with family uplifts her and gives her courage to move forward in life. Hank Webb is a clown, affectionately named Fraidy Freddie, with Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Hank Webb has a past that he would rather not remember so he lives his life behind the clown gear. Hank has a little faith in God and he feels God wants him to trust his plans. July 6, 1944 would be a life changing day for Hank and Evelyn, as the Circus Tent goes up in flames. Will Hank be able to trust God and learn to leave the past in the past? Will there be a relationship between Evelyn and Hank?

I dove right into the storyline and it grabbed my attention right away. Evelyn is an amazingly strong woman and I really LOVE that her faith was strong also. She could have felt so lost, but her brother and family really helped with that also. Hank Webb seemed a little down and out, but he had a bit of faith. The Circus Tent Fire was a part of History that I was unaware of and it is a very intriguing part of the History. I really LOVE the History in this book and the author did a GREAT job at making it real. I I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Historical Romance Fiction. AMAZING BOOK!

I spent dozens of hours researching When the Flames Ravaged, the story of a horrific circus fire in Hartford, Connecticut on July 6, 1944. I gasped, I wept, and I marveled at the courage of rescuers who sacrificed their own lives to save others. True, live-or-die battles fueled my imagination, and composite characters leaped to life.

At one point, my hero dives into dark water, grasping with frail human understanding to comprehend the scope of the disaster. He decides good and evil are locked in an everlasting struggle, and humans are mere pawns stuck in the middle. Then he asks, “What is the use of serving God if He won’t protect you?”

Who has never asked the same thing when tragedy strikes? Pat answers and platitudes won’t suffice. Only a personal quest to discover an acceptable answer to this age-old question will help us find peace in the midst of the churning sea of doubt.

I hope my novel will toss a live preserver to everyone treading water.

I have read the other books in this series and I was anxiously anticipating this book!

A sweet and short romance book! Elise Parks comes to Three Springs to help her brother who is recuperating. She is happy to take care of her nieces, but running the Farm takes her for surprise. Ryan Sloan lives on the farm next door and he offers to help Elise learn how to take care of the farm. Elise grew up coming to visit the farm during the summers, but she prefers the City Life. Ryan Sloan was her "teenage crush" and he secretly had a crush on her. I LOVE how they worked together to keep her brothers Ranch running and their Relationship blossoms. They are both afraid to really grow the relationship because Elise will probably go back to the City or WILL SHE? The book is filled with Fun Memories, new love and friendships!
