Ohh what a joyous day in our household when the new Cooper and Me and the Winter Adventure book arrived. Our family was first introduced to Cooper and Me back in October and my boys really enjoyed the first book!
Cooper and Me is a book series written and illustrated by a mother daughter team, Monique Peters and 11 yr old daughter, Alexa. The books provide a both entertainment, through the fun loving antics of Cooper the dog and life lessons with the wonderful story telling and how to solve the issues at hand in a positive way. 11 yr old Alexa is the main illustrator of the book and does a wonderful job to go along with her mother's writings!
Cooper and Bella can’t wait to go sledding, but what happens when they wander a little too far from home and a snowstorm makes it difficult to find their way back? Cooper & Me Winter Adventure provides a wonderful opportunity to teach children the importance of making good decisions and the gentle lesson of how to be prepared in case they get lost.
Our thoughts and Review:
The boys have been enjoying reading Cooper and Me and the Winter Adventure. I am very glad for the lesson on what to do when lost as my middle son is a "wanderer". We also live in the Chicagoland area and we are always on the go in the big city and very easy to get lost. Cooper and Me and the Winter Adventure really gave me the oppurtunity to discuss "getting lost and what to do" wtih my boys in a nice easy way for them to understand. We loved the book and I am sure your family will also! I also really liked using the Cooper Winter Reading Guide to help the talk about what do when lost. The boys really enjoyed the Coloring Pages for the book. It is a good "cuddle up" book to read with your children and also one that teaches a valuable lesson! GREAT book!
