Christian Fiction if one of my favorite genres. Dana Mentink has become one of my favorite Christian Suspense authors. I am very excited that I recently read Tracking the Truth by Dana Mentink. It is Book 1 in the Security Hounds Investigation Series.

I can honestly say that there has not been ONE book by Dana Mentink that I did not like and this one did not disappoint! Roman Wolfe and his bloodhound rescue Emily Duncan from the Water. She was thrown into the water in an attempt to prevent her from revealing the truth about a murder confession her Dad made. Roman and Emery know they are not safe yet and are determined to figure out who doesn't want Emery to find out the truth behind her father's confession. I truly believe Roman is an AMAZING character as he does all he can to protect Emery and her nephew Ian from further harm.   I also LOVED Wally, Roman's Bloodhound. Wally is an GREAT dog and his antics in the story had me laughing. Emery and Roman work together to figure out who is behind the attack to Emery and is trying to hurt her. The book has many twists and turns, and the story reads at a GREAT pace.  I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys Suspense, Romance and Faith based books! AMAZING BOOK!

Dana Mentink is a two time American Christian Fiction Writers Carol Award winner, a Romantic Times Reviewer’s Choice Award and a Holt Medallion winner. She is a national and Publisher’s Weekly bestselling author of over forty titles in the suspense and lighthearted romance genres. More from Dana

Bloodhounds everywhere! I was thrilled to be offered a contract to write a WHOLE SIX BOOK SERIES with these amazing creatures and their private eye humans! Bloodhounds have been described as “noses with dog’s attached.” Isn’t that quaint? I hope you will enjoy reading about Wally. He’s a young dog who did not receive the proper training and he’s a tad…well…naughty. Good thing he’s got a handler who’s equally as stubborn. It’s a battle of wills between Wally and Roman and there’s plenty of room for fun along with the suspense. Bloodhounds, take it away!

When the Flames Ravaged by Rhonda Dragomir is a Chrsitian Historical Romance book. It is Book 2 in a new 6 part series of historic American disasters that transformed landscapes and multiple lives. Whether by nature or by man, these disasters changed history and were a day to be remembered. The Series is written by Various Authors.

The Setting is 1944 in Hartford, Connecticut. Evelyn Benson is a World War II widow who lost her husband in the Bataan Death March. She has stayed strong in her faith and has moved in with her Brother, his wife and children. Being with family uplifts her and gives her courage to move forward in life. Hank Webb is a clown, affectionately named Fraidy Freddie, with Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Hank Webb has a past that he would rather not remember so he lives his life behind the clown gear. Hank has a little faith in God and he feels God wants him to trust his plans. July 6, 1944 would be a life changing day for Hank and Evelyn, as the Circus Tent goes up in flames. Will Hank be able to trust God and learn to leave the past in the past? Will there be a relationship between Evelyn and Hank?

I dove right into the storyline and it grabbed my attention right away. Evelyn is an amazingly strong woman and I really LOVE that her faith was strong also. She could have felt so lost, but her brother and family really helped with that also. Hank Webb seemed a little down and out, but he had a bit of faith. The Circus Tent Fire was a part of History that I was unaware of and it is a very intriguing part of the History. I really LOVE the History in this book and the author did a GREAT job at making it real. I I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Historical Romance Fiction. AMAZING BOOK!

Rhonda Dragomir is a multimedia creative who treasures her fairy tale life in Central Kentucky, insisting her home is her castle even if her prince refuses to dig a moat. She has multiple published works in anthologies and periodicals, along with numerous Bible studies studied weekly by more than 10,000 women around the world. Rhonda has garnered numerous writing awards for both fiction and nonfiction, including her selection as 2019 Writer of the Year by Serious Writer, Inc. In 2020 she was also a finalist in ACFW’s Genesis Contest for her first novel, a 16th century historical romance.

More from Rhonda

The heroine’s last living family members are struck down in a tragic fire. Will she crumble? Will she tumble into bitterness? Will she forsake her faith? We view life through her eyes and wonder, “What would I do?”

The best fiction sails the vast sea of human experiences and explores how we survive when storms roil the waters. Triumph, tragedy, victories, valleys—though we have not lived through the exact events as the characters, we feel the same elation on the crests and despair in the troughs of the waves.

This is why I love to write historical fiction, especially romance. I interweave my own thoughts and feelings with those of my characters. My words become theirs, and their responses mirror my own as I fight to keep my head above water.

I spent dozens of hours researching When the Flames Ravaged, the story of a horrific circus fire in Hartford, Connecticut on July 6, 1944. I gasped, I wept, and I marveled at the courage of rescuers who sacrificed their own lives to save others. True, live-or-die battles fueled my imagination, and composite characters leaped to life.

At one point, my hero dives into dark water, grasping with frail human understanding to comprehend the scope of the disaster. He decides good and evil are locked in an everlasting struggle, and humans are mere pawns stuck in the middle. Then he asks, “What is the use of serving God if He won’t protect you?”

Who has never asked the same thing when tragedy strikes? Pat answers and platitudes won’t suffice. Only a personal quest to discover an acceptable answer to this age-old question will help us find peace in the midst of the churning sea of doubt.

I hope my novel will toss a live preserver to everyone treading water.

FrontGate Media Blog Tour: Why Everything that Doesn't Matter, Matters So Much by Charlie Peacock and Andi Ashworth

A hopeful and practical model for what it means to be a Christian and a culture-maker in a world of hurt and wondrous possibility, from multi–Grammy winner Charlie Peacock and his wife and author, Andi Ashworth.

Do you feel powerless and overwhelmed by the pain and suffering all around you? Have you ever asked, What can I do to mend the world, my family, or my own life? And if I could, why bother? Does my own small part even matter? If so, here comes hope from two guides who are further down the road. Charlie and Andi have written a collection of letters to Christians and spiritual seekers who think deeply and care acutely about the state of the world and their personal spheres of influence.

In Why Everything That Doesn't Matter, Matters So Much, beloved and trusted mentors, Charlie and Andi offer you:

Thought-provoking explorations into the many facets of Christian culture care and making, from the kitchen to Carnegie Hall.
Practical guidance for how to care for and improve the quality of human life, locally and globally, no matter your vocation.
A theology of imagination and creativity that provides a framework for all of life.
A model for expressing love in marriage, friendship, citizenship, and every kind of work—even in the midst of cynicism, fear, exhaustion, and oppression.
It might be said of Christians that our lives are either moving in the direction of the redemption Jesus has on offer, or away from it. Each of these letters is a gentle nudge in the direction of God's powerfully ordinary purpose for each of us, no matter what the future holds, to participate fully in the beautiful, redemptive work of Christ.

Charlie Peacock is a Grammy Award–winning, Billboard Chart–topping music producer, composer, and recording artist. He is a co-founder of the Art House, Wedgwood Circle, and founder/director Emeritus of the Commercial Music Program at Lipscomb University. Charlie has produced music for film and television, including A Walk to Remember, Chris Cornell's "Misery Chain" from the soundtrack of 12 Years a Slave, and "Hush," the title theme to the AMC drama Turn: Washington’s Spies. Named by Billboard’s Encyclopedia of Record Producers as one of the 500 most important producers in music history, Charlie is also a three-time recipient of the Gospel Music Award for Producer of the Year. His books include New Way to Be Human, At the Crossroads, and a contribution to It Was Good: Making Music to the Glory of God. Charlie is the Sr. Music Editor for Christianity Today and host of the Christianity Today Podcast, Music and Meaning. He has been married to Andi Ashworth for nearly fifty years and they have two grown, married children and four grandchildren.

Andi Ashworth is the author of Real Love for Real Life: The Art and Work of Caring. She is Co-Founder of The Art House in Nashville where she served for over two decades through hospitality and mentoring, hosting a wide range of guests and organizations including Bono, Blood: Water Mission, International Justice Mission, The Gathering, and the ONE Campaign. Andi holds an MA in Theological Studies from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis. As Editor-In-Chief of the Art House America Blog she stewarded hundreds of essays from a variety of authors such as Tish Harrison Warren, Steven Garber, Sandra McCracken, Russ Ramsey, and Luci Shaw. Andi is most recently published in Wild Things and Castles in the Sky: A Guide to Choosing the Best Books for Children and A Book for Hearts & Minds: What You Should Read and Why. She has been married to Charlie Peacock for nearly fifty years and they have two grown, married children and four grandchildren.

We live in a world that is filled with Hurt, and unfortunately many carry hurt around and it shows. This book is written in short chapters that really speak to the heart of the reader. Charlie and Andi have written encouraging letters to people of all walks of life that will help them navigate the hurting world and be an encourager to those around them, including neighbors and friends. Hospitality and serving others is just one way that helps bring LOVE to others instead of HURT.  The wisdom from both Charlie and Andi is unmeasurable and very on point for today's world. I really enjoyed the difference in their writing styles and the fact that the book really spoke to me. I started reading it and could not put it down until I finished it.

I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who needs encouragement and guidance in today's world. A good book for anyone who needs to transform from HURT to LOVE!! One of the BEST books I have read in a long while! FANTASTIC BOOK!

FrontGate Media Blog Tour: Whatever Happens, Standing firm in your Faith When the World is Falling Apart by Robert J. Morgan

Life is unpredictable, and the world is unstable. People have never been so confounded, sensing our culture, economy, and geopolitical systems are spiraling downward. Even in our personal lives, none of us knows what will happen next—which is why God gave us the book of Philippians. This short letter—just over 100 verses—can help us learn to live overflowing lives in an overwhelming world.

Join renowned pastor and Bible teacher Robert J. Morgan as he explores one of the most practical books of the Bible and highlights several important lessons found within it. In 31 short chapters, readers will learn how to:

Use prayer to energize their life
Make today about others
Stay as cheerful as possible in all circumstances
Let others lean on their strength
Start everything with praise and end everything with prayer
And more!

As the apostle Paul wrote his letter to the Philippians from a prison cell, he was facing dire circumstances and an unsettled future. But he knew one thing—that whatever happened, he was going to stand firm in his faith and live a life worthy of the gospel. And no matter what we are going through today, we can do the same.

Robert J. Morgan teaches the Bible each week on his podcast, The Robert J. Morgan Podcast, and through his speaking engagements and his books, including: The Red Sea Rules, The Strength You Need, 100 Bible Verses That Made America, The 50 Final Events in World History, and Then Sings My Soul. He also serves as Associate Pastor at World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, TN.

We live in a world that is messed up and can tear a Christian down. Robert Morgan has written this book that goes through the book of Philippians and shows one how to stand STRONG in their faith even during difficult times. I really enjoy the easy to navigate format  of the book and the fact that the book is very encouraging. The book contains 31 short chapters and can be used as a devotional or as a group study. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone looking for a book that encourage one in their faith. GREAT BOOK!

Ryan Sloan lives on the farm next door and he offers to help Elise learn how to take care of the farm. Elise grew up coming to visit the farm during the summers, but she prefers the City Life. Ryan Sloan was her "teenage crush" and he secretly had a crush on her. I LOVE how they worked together to keep her brothers Ranch running and their Relationship blossoms. They are both afraid to really grow the relationship because Elise will probably go back to the City or WILL SHE?
