Chasing Kensie is a Christian contemporary romance sparkling with Alaskan winters, unknown feelings, and a love that will light up the darkest of nights.  

Christian Contempory Romance is a favorite genre. Chasing Kensie by Drew Taylor is the most recent in this genre that I have read. 

I have to say that the storyline took me until Chapter 2 to really get into the book. The story takes place in Alaska. The 2 main characters are Kensington Smith and Nicolas Lancaster. Kensington has just relocated to Alaska in hopes of getting a fresh start on life. Kensington and Nicolas are both High School teachers at Crescent Cove High School. Nicolas happens to be the brother of Kensington's best friend. Kensington is looking to be in a relationship, especially with Nicolas. The pair is bought together as they are going to be on the planning committee for the Winter Solstice Dance. Kensie and Nicolas both are weary of the "working together project" as they have had a "loathe" for one another for many years and they both have "baggage". I really LOVE how they take things slow and it helps things turn around and they begin to enjoy each others company. I also LOVE how the author really focuses the story and the growth in their relationship on "Love of Jesus". The author has a strong focus of Jesus throughout the book and especially for Kensie and Nicolas. I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful the book truly is, after struggling to understand the beginning of the book. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Contempory Romance. GREAT BOOK!
