Contemporary Christian Romance is a wonderful genre to read. The Sound of Violet by Allen Wolf is the most recent book in this genre that I have read. It is the 10th Anniversary Edition. The book has now been made into a movie also, although I did not watch the movie. 

I was captivated by this storyline from the very first pages. The main characters are Shawn and Violet. Shawn is a young man in his 20's who is on the Autism Spectrum. Violet is a young woman who has been sexually exploited and a part of a human trafficking ring. They both come from different environments and yet they both long for a sense of belonging. Shawn works for a Dating App company and meets Violet at a Company Party. A unusual twist of fate for them is that is is a "LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT" story. Violet who is usually reluctant to be in relationship, is feeling that Shawn has something special about him and she is beginning to feel safe with a man. I really LOVE that they both have wanted the same thing for years, seeking an everlasting love, yet they felt they were "unworthy" of have that everlasting relationship. The story also tells how they sought God's Will and direction for their relationship and through God the relationship grew. I had happy tears flowing throughout reading the book as it is more then just a LOVE Story, it is a story about Endurance for those struggling to feel loved, looking at inner beauty rather than the outside, surrendering to God to guide the relationship. I can honestly say this is one of the BEST Contemporary Christian Romance books that I have ever read. I HIGHLY recommend this book. AMAZING BOOK!
