Inspirational Contemporary Romance is a favorite genre of mine to read.  Lovin' on Red by Mary Pat Johns is the latest book in this genre that I have read. I am excited to be reading Book 2  in the Romance in Valiant series. I enjoyed Book 1 in the series and have been anxiously awaiting Book 2. 

Rory Spence loves his life as a Contractor, but he feels one thing is missing. He has interest in a special someone, but she keeps refuses to go on a date with him. Vi Summers is a massage therapist and needs some remodeling work done on the house she grew up in. Vi is reluctant to hire Rory to do the work on her home, as he really wants go on a date with her. Vi knows he will get the job done just as she wants so she hires him.  The more time they spend together, the more Vi gets interested in Rory. She is afraid her past will deter Rory from wanting a relationship with her. Will Rory and Vi reveal their pasts to one another? Will there be a relationship between the pair?

I really enjoyed this book from the very first chapter.  Rory and Vi both have some baggage from their past. I loved reading how they both grew closer to one another during the remodeling process. They sure had some struggles to deal with like squatters, fire and more, but they really came together to get through those times. I also LOVED that they sought God through the trials of both the remodel and the "baggage" of their past. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Romance genre! I am very much looking forward to future books in this series! WONDERFUL BOOK!
