I truly love Christmas themed books and I also enjoy the Love Inspired Books. Author Mindy Obenhaus is a favorite of mine. Her Christmas Healing by Mindy Obenhaus is Book 4 in the Hope Crossing Series. I have read all the books in this series and have anxiously awaited the release of Book 4.
Jillian McKenna was living in Dallas, TX but has moved back home to Hope Crossing, TX. She loved living in Dallas, but she was attacked while out jogging and doesn't feel safe anymore in Dallas. She is arriving home to live with her Grandma for a time and she is also pregnant due to the attack. She is excited to try to get settled in before the baby comes and start the process of healing, physically and emotionally from the attack. Gabriel Vaughn is a local veternarian and also the next door neighbor. Jillian and Gabriel started a frienship when she was visiting her Grandma. They have been texting and calling one another for some time. He is quite surprised to see her back in Hope Crossing and even more surprised that she is pregnant. Gabriel has been going through a lot of situations himself and has a lot on his mind! Jillian would love to have a relationship with Gabriel, but she is unsure that he would want one with her. They begin helping the local Youth Group with a Fundraiser and spending time together. They both feel they are growing closer again. Will Jillian and Gabriel be able to help each other heal? Will they have a future together?
WHOA, another great book by Mindy Obenhaus! I really like how she was sensitive to the Attack topic and how it was written into the book. Jillian is a woman of strength and courage who knows that she must take time to heal emotionally before the baby arrives and moves to Hope Crossing. Gabriel is an AMAZING character for the book. I truly appreciate how he is willing to give Jillian a chance, even after she ghosted him in communication efforts while in Dallas. They both decide to give back by helping the Youth Group and they realized that God can make the impossible possible by trusting in God! The book is one of Faith, LOVE, and Second Chances! I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Romance. GREAT BOOK!
