I LOVE Christian Contemporary Romance books and I enjoy books that are a part of a series. Tropical Target by Jennifer Pierce is Book 8 in the Suamalie Islands series which is written by Various authors. I have read a few books in this series and was excited to read this one too.

We are back on Suamalie Island and it is Wedding Season. Detective Noa Tanielu is trying to solve the mystery of why so many thefts are happening during the recent Weddings on the Island. Now he must discover who killed a bride before her wedding. Haley Marsh is the new Wedding Photographer for the Island Weddings and she also just moved to the Island. She loves her job as a Photographer and moved to the Island to try to start a new chapter as she is heartbroken after being dumped just days before her wedding. Haley is the one who discovers the body and is arrested for Murder. After an initial investigation, it is determined she is not the Suspect but the Target. Detective Noa now goes into Protection mode and wants to keep Haley safe. Haley and Noa are now working together to solve the Mystery of who killed the Bride and who the Thief is. Haley and Noa pretend to be engaged and it is a good "cover-up" for the investigation with Haley being in the Wedding Business. Will Noa and Haley solve the crimes? Will there be a love connection between Noa and Haley? 

WOW, this book certainly is an Action-Packed book! I was captivated by the storyline from the very first chapter. Noa and Haley are great characters and I love how they immediately become connected. The "fake engagement" and "wedding" was a great plot to capture the Thief and potential Killer.  I love that the author includes the Faith aspect in the book. This book is about Mystery, Suspense, Romance and Faith. I am looking forward to more books in this series! I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Romance with Suspense books! FANTASTIC BOOK!

I am so excited to be writing for the Suamalie Island series. Writing books set on tropical islands is so much fun. I knew going into Tropical Target that I wanted Noa to be a detective, but I wasn’t so sure on what type of occupation Haley needed. What was something that she could do for both the tourists and those that made the islands their home?

Then I remembered when my grandmother died, one of my aunts took all her photos and scanned them into the computer and made CDs and gave them to the rest of the family. I thought that would be a fantastic job for Haley. She could be a photographer who shoots destination weddings and special events for tourists and locals, and she could also travel the islands and make keepsakes for the locals. I expanded it even further to allow her to make copies of some of the photographs and sell them to tourists as authentic photographs of the islands. So, that’s how Seas the Moment was created.

The next thing I had to figure out was how to make Noa and Haley’s paths cross. What better way than for him to accuse her of murder? I wanted to pit the two of them against each other but then force them to work together. Kind of an enemies to more fake engagement trope.

Once those things were in place it was just a matter of weaving the story together. There’s suspense, romance, faith, and a few witty comebacks in the mix. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
