I LOVE Amish Fiction and read it often. Piece by Piece by Laura Bradford is not the "typical" Amish Fiction book and I completely fell in love with the book right away. I was only one chapter into the book when I realized I wasn't going to put the book down until I was done reading.
Dani Parker has a wonderful husband and 3 young kids. She is always with her family and enjoying activities together. The one day she stays home to relax and her husband and mom take the kids to the park, the unthinkable happens. Her entire family dies in a car accident. She relies on the love and support of the community to get her through the funerals. Dani life is forever changed. She is trying to get through the grief when a childhood friend, who is Amish, offers Dani the chance to come to her home for as long as she needs. Dani accepts the offer and she finds herself amidst the Amish Community where she is experiencing such love and help that she can feel the healing begin.
I really enjoyed how the author, Laura Bradford, takes a normal everyday person and shows them another world after their world crashed before their eyes. The Amish Community was a source of comfort for a grieving mom. Laura Bradford is a new to me author, but I intend on reading more of her books. GREAT BOOK and Author!
Laura also pens several mystery series including; An Amish Mystery series, the Emergency Dessert Squad Mysteries, the Tobi Tobias Mysteries, and the Southern Sewing Circle Mysteries (written as Elizabeth Lynn Casey).
