But with the Christmas rampage drawing ever closer, Zac Turner’s convinced the attacks are personal. Can they piece together their ties to the bomber…before another gift explodes?
From Love Inspired Suspense: Courage. Danger. Faith.

LOVE Inspired books are a FAVORITE of mine. The books have different genres and are written by many different Authors. Explosive Christmas Showdown by Darlene L. Turner is the most recent LOVE Inspired book that I read.

Olive Wells loves her job as a criminal investigative analyst. She is on the trail of a Dangerous Bomber, known as the Jingle Bell Bomber, and intends on following the case until he is captured. She decides to bring on her ex-fiance Constable Zac Turner and his K-9 Detector Dog. Zac Turner comes on to help Olive find this bomber before more attacks happen. He begins to think the attacks are personal and targeted. Zac and Olive are working tirelessly to diffuse the "Gift Bombs" before others are hurt. Will Olive and Zac find and capture the Jingle Bell Bomber before it is too late? Will they rekindle their romance after working together on this assignment?

WOW, this book is a definite Page Turner from the very first chapter. The Twists and Turns are AMAZING and Intriguing! I finished this book in about 4hrs and did not want it to end. I really like how Olive was determined to catch the Jingle Bell Bomber that she teamed up with someone from her past. Zac and Olive had to look to their past and share some secrets with one another and rely on their faith. This book is filled with Suspense, Romance, and Faith. I HIGHLY recommend this book for those who enjoy Suspense filled Romance books! FANTASTIC BOOK!

JustRead Tours Blog Tour: The Christmas Switch by Zoey Marie Jackson

The Christmas Switch JustRead Blog Tour

Welcome to the Blog Tour for The Christmas Switch by Zoey Marie Jackson, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours!

The Christmas Switch Title: The Christmas Switch
Author: Zoey Marie Jackson
Publisher: Harlequin Love Inspired
Release Date: October 25, 2022
Genre: Contemporary Inspirational Romance

Keeping this secret gets complicated

with the family she wished for right next door.

Swapping places with her identical twin over the holidays sounds easy enough to Chanel Houston. But playing the role is trickier than expected when it comes to maintaining frosty relations with her sister’s neighbor and nemesis—especially since he has an adorable little girl and a rowdy puppy. Ryder Frost’s supposed to be grumpy and rude…so why does Chanel find the single dad so irresistible?

The Love Inspired Romance series are one of my favorite series to read. The books are short and easy to read and always fun-loving to read. The Christmas Switch by Zoey Marie Jackson is the latest LOVE Inspired Romance that I have read.

Chanel Houston agrees to swap places with her identical twin sister, Cara. Cara has to be away from her house for work purposes but doesn't want her house empty. Chanel feels this will be easy and she agrees to the switch. Ryder Frost is the next-door neighbor who is a Single Dad with a beautiful daughter, Gabby. Cara thinks the neighbor is a grumpy and rude guy and tries to avoid him. Chanel finds herself attracted to Ryder and therefore is finding it hard to keep pretending she is Cara. Will Chanel have to break her role so she can be real with Ryder? Will there be a relationship between Chanel and Ryder?

I LOVED this book from the first chapter. I am an Identical Twin and my sister and I have changed places a couple of times as a prank, so this whole Twin Sister connection was a LOVE for me! I also like that the book is based around the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas, my 2 favorite holidays. I enjoyed the book and learning about Chanel and Ryder's past and their "baggage". Ryder's daughter, Gabby, was so beautiful and had me laughing in parts of the story.  Chanel and Ryder slowly but wonderfully grew their relationship and that was a good plan considering their past situations. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who likes Clean, Christian Romance books! FANTASTIC BOOK!

Book: Love Matters

Author: Neil Tolsma

The Bible answers with one word: Love. What am I to do when my love is weak and in short supply? What difference does godly love make in the rush of everyday living? These are questions that Christians ask and need  answered.

Love Matters answers these vital questions and others through a careful examination of what the Word of God has to say about reproducing God’s love in the exercise of personal faith. Love Matters is unique in developing this study of love in a redemptive-historical setting.

Love Matters is a biblical study of the divine call to love God and others wholeheartedly and the means by which the believer can overcome deficiencies in that call.

I enjoy reading books that are inspirational and help guide me in my faith. LOVE Matters by Neil Tolsma is a Non-Fiction book that focuses on what a Christian needs to express our faith.

I really was encouraged while reading this book. Love Matters is a Biblically-based Book that shows Christians how to really be Christlike and express our faith to others. The author uses Scriptures and Real Life Experiences throughout the book. The author describes how God Loves Us even when we aren't loving God and others. The Study Questions in each Chapter were extremely helpful in understanding the theme of the book. LOVE Matters would make a GREAT Bible Study for a Group or individual. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who is looking to grow in their faith. VERY Encouraging Book!

Neil Tolsma was born on February 5, 1935, Saddle Brook, NJ. More from Neil

Why Another Book on Love

Walk into any bookstore, Christian or general market, big or small, and you’re sure to be inundated by books on love, both fiction and nonfiction. How to love your spouse or significant other. How to love your children. How to love yourself. Love, love, love. That’s all we seem to hear about today. Love in all its forms, both good and evil.

So, then, why would I write another nonfiction book on love? Aren’t there plenty to choose from already? Well, yes and no. There are many on the shelves. Have your pick. But how many of those talk about what real, biblical love is, why we are to love, and where our one and only source of love is?

So many people today don’t know what love truly is. We have romanticized versions of flowers, chocolates, and violins. We dream of being swept off our feet and spending every waking minute with someone who will cherish us above all else. One of the most popular sayings of the day is Love Is Love.

Is it really? How do we know what true love is? That understanding only comes from God and his word to us. Only through him and in him do we find pure, holy, agape love. Love that sacrificed his only Son for us to give eternal life to us sinners—the impure, unholy, and filthy.

And so that’s why I wrote Love Matters. Because it does. It matters to our lives today, in how we relate to our spouses, our children, our family members, and the world at large. It matters to our eternity in how we view our salvation and how we are to love our Lord. It matters when we’re old and when we’re young, when we’re at home and when we’re at work, when we agree with someone and when we disagree with them.

Throughout my fifty years of in-depth Bible study as a pastor and counselor, I was brought back time and time again to the Bible to discover what love is. Over and over, I returned to the command God gave in Exodus, that we are to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, strength, and minds, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Because God is love and love matters to him, it has to matter to us.

Momentum Influencers: Paul's Promise Movie Review and Giveaway

Set in the peak of the 1960s Civil Rights movement, “Paul's Promise” is the inspiring true story of Paul Holderfield, former racist firefighter-turned-pastor who started one of the first integrated churches in the American South. It’s one man’s journey to hope and healing during a troubled time in our Nation’s history
that resulted in one man’s decision to serve God and stand up to injustice - a story that continues to make a huge impact on the community to this day.

I am a HUGE fan of True Story Movies and that is the first thing that had me interested in this movie. I also appreciate the fact that this movie is based on the Civil Rights Movement. I really enjoyed this movie and watched it with my teenage boys. Paul Holderfield made some major life changes during a time when it seemed impossible due to Racial Tensions and Paul himself being a Racist. The fact that his mother saw that Paul was a racist and prayed for him to change his ways and he did was a "tear-jerker" part of the movie. I think this movie is important even 60yrs later, as Racial Tensions continue in our country. I LOVE that the Movie is Faith-Based and Family Friendly. I HIGHLY encourage Families to go see this Movie. Make sure you bring some Tissue as it can get emotional at times. GREAT MOVIE!

• Go see PAUL’S PROMISE in theaters starting October 21st!
• Moms, you won’t want to miss this encouraging film about the power of a praying mama! #PaulsPromiseMIN
• Paul’s Promise is the inspiring true story of Paul Holderfield, a bigoted firefighter-turned-pastor, who started one of the first integrated churches in the south.

Celebrate Lit Blog Tour: Jeannette's Gift by Blossom Turner

Book: Jeanette’s Gift

Author: Blossom Turner

Genre: Christian Historical Romance

Release date: October 11, 2022

This life wasn’t the one she dreamed of, but happily ever afters don’t always come when and how we expect.

At twenty-nine, Jeanette Williams has watched each one of her four sisters marry and start families of their own. It’s hard not to believe God has forgotten the desires of her heart, especially when most people refer to her as Spinster Williams. Without the beautiful children she teaches, life would be unbearably lonely.

When the handsome widower, Theo Wallace, and his six children move into the Shenandoah Valley, every available woman is atwitter—except for Jeanette. She has no such aspirations that someone as plain as her could draw even a smattering of interest.

As life throws this unlikely couple together, Jeanette can’t help but fall in love with Theo’s children and their soul-wrenching plight. Before she knows it, her heart is far more invested than she could’ve ever imagined. And not just with the children, but with their handsome father as well. Is she headed for another heartbreak, or is it possible God had a beautiful plan in the works all along?

Blossom Turner has fast become a favorite author of mine. Jeanette's Gift is the fifth book, in the Shenandoah Brides series. I have read the first 4 books in the series and have been excitedly awaiting the release of this book!

Jeanette Williams is 29yrs old and hasn't found a good life suitor. She loves being a teacher and without her "children' she feels she would be extremely lonely. Jeanette has prayed for many years that God will send a suitor to her. Theo Wallace, a recent widower, who has Six Children, moves to Shenandoah Valley, The Women of Shenandoah Valley begin to swoon over Theo Wallace, except Jeanette. Jeanette feels she has been heartbroken before and doesn't want another one. Jeanette and Theo begin spending more and more time together due to life happenings. Jeanette really enjoys the children and she really gets to know about their life plight. Jeanette also begins to have feelings for their father, Theo. Will Jeanette put up a wall and not fall deeper for Theo? Will Theo and Jeanette have a relationship?

WOW, I am once again blown away by this series. I started reading and could not put the book down. I finished the book in 3hrs. Jeanette and Theo's story is one of trusting God's timing in our lives. Jeanette had prayed for many years for God to find a suitor for her. Just as she had given up, along comes Theo. Theo has been through a lot recently and is having trouble trusting God. I LOVE how life changes for the better for both Jeanette and Theo when they open their hearts to God and trust him for their future. I really LOVE how Blossom Turner really appropriately picks great titles for her books. Jeanette's Gift is soo well-titled because she finally receives the gift she has prayed about for so long.  I HIGHLY recommend this book to those who enjoy Christian Romance. WONDERFUL BOOK!

Do You Enjoy Romance That Keeps You Thinking Days Later?

Long before I knew I could write, I loved to read. Being a hopeless romantic I gravitated to all romance stories either contemporary or historical. I soon realized that finding clean fiction but still written with the passion God created us to experience, was hard to find. (Song of Solomon is a good example of the expression of passion and love between a man and woman without being explicit.)

Given the gift of a writing career later in life one thing was for sure…I wanted to write what I like to read. Clean romance does not need to be boring. As each story pours out, I realize that writing historical fiction is my passion. I finally know what I was born to do. The Shenandoah Brides is a series of five sisters and their five love stories. Oct. 11, 2022 is launch day for the final book in the series called Jeanette’s Gift.

Each book has a redeeming theme. Katherine’s Arrangement, set in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, post-civil war, speaks on how to love the way 1 Corinthians encourages, even when marriage (Katherine’s is an arranged marriage) has proven to be very disappointing. The second book Amelia’s Heartsong, situated in Richmond, Virginia illustrates how love transcends the pomp and circumstance of class and money and encourages us to view others the way God does. The third book, Lucinda’s Defender unfolds back in the valley, and speaks of how our greatest mistake does not have to define our future. A message on second chances encourages the soul. The fourth book, Gracie’s Surrender once again set in Richmond, speaks of a life dedicated to the ministry of God helping the underprivileged orphans. Gracie learns that God can upset even our best intentions with a better plan.

However, the message for this fifth book, Jeanette’s Gift, is a subject so near and dear to my heart. Growing up in an environment that tore me down instead of build me up, proved to be invaluable in writing on this subject. The theme of this book—healing from low self-worth—is a topic that many will relate to.

Jeanette suffers from low self-worth and believes God has forgotten her. A very valuable process unfolds with truth and techniques that work today. Jeanette learns to accept that how life unfolds is up to the sovereignty of God, and He can be trusted. She also breathes in the truth of how she is, indeed, fearfully and wonderfully made.

My prayer is that as Jeanette grows toward healing in the story, that any reader suffering in this same way will embrace the steps on how to break this vicious cycle. I know from first-hand experience healing is possible, and I long to get that message out there.

Although this book can easily be read as a stand-alone, enjoying the whole series as the family saga unfolds will deepen the experience.

I sincerely hope you enjoy the read as much as I enjoyed the write. I love to hear from my readers. Contact me at http://blossomturner.com
